What is Boldstreak to you?

Boldstreak provides an awesome opportunity for creators to legitimize their “side hustle” and turn creating content to a full-time job. We always go to bat for our clients and try to help them build and expand on their brand as often as possible so it’s great to see them grow.

Boldstreak is also just an awesome company to work for because we have such a collaborative team and we’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other.

How do you spend your day?

I’m in a really unique position because I get to see all aspects of the business and have my hand in a little bit of everything. Everyday is different for me. Recently I’ve been hopping into a few deal negotiations for campaigns, I oversee the creator outreach efforts for our team so I’m constantly on the lookout for new people we can bring on as clients. We have the opportunity to run with projects that interest us and I love throwing myself into as many projects as I can.

Favorite social media platform:

My favorite social media platform is definitely Instagram. I’m a visual person so I can get lost in people’s feeds. I love getting inspiration from different hashtags to find the hottest place to travel to hair inspo accounts.

Go-to show to watch on Netflix:

My go-to show on Netflix would have to be the latest comedy special. I love watching comedy, it always puts me in a good mood and there is nothing better than laughing uncontrollably to relatable jokes.

I also love watching series television, it’s definitely a guilty pleasure of mine so I can binge watch just about anything. Recently I finished Bodyguard which was amazing. Bodyguard has all of the characteristics of my favorite type of tv show all wrapped up into a little bow. Action, suspense. My favorite movie is The Italian Job and close second is the Borne Trilogy (the 4th one doesn’t exist in my mind). Bodyguard falls right in line with my favorites.

When you’re not at work, where can we find you?

I love taking mini vacations when ever possible to other cities close by. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do so even when I can’t get away too far, I still love to experience new environments.

What’s the best book you’ve read this year?

It’s still early but the first book I read this year was great. I read “The Couple Next Door” by Shari Lapena and it kept me on my toes. It was a page turner.

Who are your role models or mentors?

I’m a huge fan of Gabrielle Union. She eludes positivity and a mindset of never giving up. I would love the chance to meet her one day, I’ve seen her speak before, but I would love to talk sit down and talk to her. I look up to her because she has such an infectious personality and never lets anything bring her down.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Throw yourself into any and everything until you find the right fit for you. No one else can decide what the right path is for yourself. Only you can determine that with a lot of trial and error.

What advice would you give someone who wants to be involved in social media?

I saw this on one of our clients’ accounts the other day so my inspo for this answer is from her (@tylauren) but people don’t realize that there are so facets of social media and a lot that goes into it. There is so much information that you have to understand to be in the social media industry. You have to know; marketing, production & copywriting, how to conduct research and analytics, understand the fundamentals of sales & negotiation and strategy. And that goes for both the creator and business side. The magic of this industry is that if the above is done correctly, you don’t notice what actually goes into it.

What advice would you give someone who wants to be involved in influencer marketing?

Learn as many marketable skills as you can because there are so many skills you need to know in this industry.

Favorite place to grab food in NYC during your lunch break:

I try to bring food from home as often as I possibly can. But when I don’t, I love food trucks, so I’ll go for a gyro or chicken tikka any day.

Dream travel destinations:

I love Europe and have traveled to a few different countries in Europe, but I have never been to Greece before. I would love to go to Santorini. I will travel anywhere where there is good food. That’s my number 1 rule for travel- where ever I go must have good food.

What’s a fun fact that very few people know about you?

My nails have been painted every day since the 6th grade. For some reason this is my go-to fun fact, but its true and unless you see me on a daily basis you would never know. My nails are ALWAYS painted. I’ve definitely gone through color phases too. For the last few years I’ve opted for nude/ natural colors but my go-to used to be turquoise. Very few people have ever seen me without nail polish.
